Given that iOS 7 is on the verge of being released as an update to Apple’s flagship product – the iPhone, its important that you take care of your data and back it up. Many a times users will get stuck during firmware upgrade to iOS 7, wherein their iPhones will either enter recovery mode or will simply end up with a blank screen on the face! Foremost, backup your iPhone via iTunes. Its as simple as it gets. Pop up iTunes and connect your iPhone to your computer. Click the ‘Back Up iPhone’ option and you are all done.
Its safe to upgrade your iPhone to iOS 7 now as you’ve made a copy of the iPhone on your computer. In case your iPhone gets stuck during the iOS 7 upgrade process, worry not as you can still get all the information back. - Download a copy of Total Saver for free following the download buttons below.
Setup on your Windows or Mac computer – the one where you’ve backed up your iPhone. Simply follow the default installation steps and it should install just fine.
- Now bring up the Total Saver application on your computer and select the backup of your iPhone. The application will list the data on which the backup was take – so be sure to select the most recent one. Even if you mess this up, you can always try again.
- Select a folder where you wish to recover the data
- Click on the ‘Recover’ button and ta-da! A sample of the data would be recovered to the chosen destination folder
